Season Info
The hunting season begins at the Circle H in September and ends the last week in March. September through January is the most popular hunting time. However, the late term provides some excellent hunting and challenging shooting. Those who have experienced a late season hunt always remark it is the season’s best.
A portion of the Ranch is operated with a special preserve permit authorized and licensed by the South Dakota Game Fish & Parks Department. This allows for an extended season and shooting hours. The balance of the Ranch is operated in accordance with South Dakota’s hunting guidelines and season. The state small game hunting season is from the third Saturday in October to the first week in January.
